Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the kind words. I like this one it seems to be telling me something particular. If I understood correctly you do these maquettes in fimo. My hat to you. Even though I have been using it for making props... I can't say that I'm fond of it. I find that it doesn’t hold the form/shape, which leads to elaborate structures to hold the material. You asked what material I used to make the maquette that I posted on the 2nd of March 2007. I found two tipes of plastiline that work quite well for modeling: one if Ferrario, and Italian product, soft to the touch it feels like clay, good for mid to large pieces. While for smaller and more intricate details I use a harder plastiline that also comes in different harnesses, Roma Plastilina. This one is an American product. Having said that recently I’ve been using Patplume made by Fila, this is the material that is bein used for the stopmotion series that I’m working on now. It is quite soft and comes in different colors, and it is easily mixed to obtain different colors. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your sculptures. I almost forgot, thanks for the link on your blog.
